Mortdale November 1901

109 years ago, this is what the corner of Mort's Road and Victoria Avenue looked like when Mortdale had "two people and a dog". St Peter's Church sat where the present Franklins supermarket is. Paddocks still littered the surrounding area and it was not uncommon for parisioners to cross paths with cows on the way home from church services. I daresay a few inconveniently placed cow pats as well.
