The University of Amsterdam Library has been designed for the post print age and the focus has shifted from book repository to a dedicated area for study, work and digital collections. Books can still be requested online (hence the orange crates in the above pic) but by removing books - that which traditionally defines a library - the library space can evolve into something unspeakably stylish.
